It may be too early to plant in your corner of the country, but it's never too early to plan. If you've been thinking of including herbs in your garden, now's the time to decide what and where to plant. An easy, interesting, and practical garden might feature tea herbs arranged around a sundial, birdbath, or fountain located in a sunny part of your yard. At the back of your garden, arrange taller herbs, such as rosemary, lavender, lemon grass, and bee balm. In front, try catnip, chamomile, thyme, lemon balm, and mint. Include a rose bush to produce bright hips rich in vitamin C, and you can look forward to many cups of tasty herb tea. To inspire your plans, consult Ann Lovejoy's book Tea Gardens.
